Dance Advancement Fund

Made possible by the generous support of the Howard Gilman Foundation and Ford Foundation, the fifth iteration of the Dance Advancement Fund will support dance-making organizations and groups based in the New York City metropolitan area with operating budgets of $25,000-$250,000.

Selected dance-making organizations and groups will receive general operating support over a two-year period, with grants of $6,000 to $40,000 awarded annually, in addition to ongoing professional development. The award period is September 1, 2026–August 31, 2028.

The current application cycle is now open. Expressions of Interest are due on June 2, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
