2 "sleeping" sitting dancers interspersed on a subway painting with a man reading. Ilene Isseks

Featuring new dance and dance/theater works with projected imagery, adding new layers to series’ of original paintings by visual artists Ilene Isseks and Susan Ruth Cohen. Featured is the premiere of  “Subway Windows,” a work in which groups of diverse subway riders engage in the NY ritual of ignoring each other. As they bide their time on the train, we get glimpses into each riders’ psyche, thoughts and dreams. The piece is a collaboration with the visual artist as well as the 8 dancer/choreographers. The concert will also feature dance pieces inspired by classic rock and folk-rock songs sung live by Farah Chandu and Willow Women's Choir and  Rose Gunter. With 11 diverse company dancers.
