CENTRIFUGE | a choreographic hub; NEW APP DEADLINE

WELCOME! Join a vibrant weekly lab where experienced choreographers exchange with renowned guests, experimenting with movement techniques in a dynamic, high-energy environment.

Who is this for: Movement Makers-
Centrifuge is tailored for seasoned dancemakers looking to rejuvenate their creative process, connect with fellow artists, and rediscover the joy of creating movement. This program is ideal for those who are passionate, uphold a strong work ethic, and look for structure and feedback to invigorate their practice. 

And for Dancers-
Passionate and driven professional dancers are invited to drop in and be paired with a different maker each time. Centrifuge offers dancers a unique chance to collaborate with active choreographers, experiment with diverse choreographic styles, and embody different approaches to dance, all while embracing playfulness and vigor.

When: Saturdays Starting Oct 5th-26th from 12-4pm

Where: Gibney Dance (280 Broadway; entrance at 53A chambers st)

 

ABOUT YOUR HOST:

Omri Drumlevich is a movement artist, an educator and founder of Blisspoint (an initiative focused on using movement and dance to build deep connections within individuals and communities). Passionate about advocating for and empowering artists, Omri has held various leadership roles, including producer, artistic director, cast representative, project manager, and rehearsal director. He began his career with Batsheva Dance Company, where he trained in Gaga and toured extensively from 2010 to 2017. After Batsheva, Omri performed as Macbeth in Punchdrunk's Sleep No More from 2018 to 2024. Over the past decade, he has shared his expertise as a guest artist at institutions like Princeton University, the University of Illinois, and Clark Atlanta University. Omri is a senior Gaga instructor, served as the rehearsal director for Batsheva Dance Company in 2021, and continues to teach and stage Ohad Naharin’s work. As an independent choreographer and director, his work has been supported and commissioned by the Curtain Up Festival, The American DFA, and The Lewis Center for the Arts. Now based in New York, Omri leads Blisspoint with a mission to inspire, connect, and transform through innovative movement practices and workshops, as well as impactful dance, film, and theater.
