CORONAVIRUS DANCE RELIEF FUND 

About 

The Coronavirus Dance Relief Fund was created by Dance/NYC to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on individual dance workers and small-budget dance making organizations. This Fund builds on Dance/NYC’s ongoing and iterative learnings across its core services including: action-oriented researchadvocacy; technological resources through Dance.NYC; leadership training, networking, and convening; and other grantmaking programs; as well as the organizational values of justice, equity, and inclusion embedded into all aspects of its programs and services.


Coronavirus Dance Relief Fund: New York State Edition 2022

Made possible by the generous support of the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), the purpose of the Coronavirus Dance Relief Fund: New York State Edition is to continue Dance/NYC’s existing relief efforts and mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on individual dance makers and small-budget dance making organizations and groups with budgets between $10,000 and $250,000 based in New York State. The Fund will prioritize individual dance makers and small-budget organizations and groups living outside of the New York City metropolitan area and offer unrestricted relief to those that have incurred financial losses due to the spread of COVID-19 and the social restriction measures implemented to contain the disease. Coronavirus Dance Relief Fund: Reopening Support 2021

Made possible by the generous support of the Ford Foundation, the O’Donnell-Green Music and Dance Foundation, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, the Harkness Foundation for Dance, the Jerome Robbins Foundation, the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation, the Joseph and Joan Cullman Foundation for the Arts, the Bossak-Helibron Charitable Foundation, and an Anonymous Funder, the purpose of the Coronavirus Dance Relief Fund: Reopening Support is to support the reopening activities and efforts of dance making organizations and groups with budgets of $10,000 to $250,000 who applied to or were granted through the Coronavirus Dance Relief Fund for Dance Making Organizations. Coronavirus Dance Relief Fund 2020 

Dance/NYC created the Coronavirus Dance Relief Fund to mitigate the growing impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak on individual freelance dance workers and dance making organizations based in the metropolitan New York City area and New Jersey state, particularly financial losses incurred due to the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus and the social restriction measures implemented to contain the spread of the virus. Established in 1954, the Dance Magazine Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of individuals and organizations in the dance industry and are one of the most prestigious honors in dance.
