Town Hall: State of NYC Dance Snapshot & Trends is an opportunity to discuss Dance/NYC's research findings from State of NYC Dance (2013).
Join Dance/NYC for the release of research findings from the State of NYC Dance (2013), made possible by leadership support from the New York State Council on the Arts, New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, The New York Community Trust, and The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The study extends Dance/NYC's State of NYC Dance (2011), based on the New York State Cultural Data Project (CDP) on nonprofit dance, and for the first-time both tracks longitudinal activity, financial, and workforce trends in nonprofit dance, and integrates fiscal sponsorship data.
Led by researcher Ian David Moss and Dance/NYC’s Executive Director, Lane Harwell, we will in this discussion open up our investigation to the field and mine the data on dance for opportunities for policy, funding and management—working together to move NYC forward.
Part 1:
Dance/NYC Town Halls are supported in part by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and by public funds from the National Endowment for the Arts; the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council; and New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature. Consolidated Edison is the lead corporate sponsor.
