Mission Statement

I identify as a disabled, afakasi Samoan, queer immigrant dancer, writer and artist originally from Aotearoa, New Zealand. My work is rooted within the Samoan concept of the va, or in-between space, irrelevant form. Va, is context, history and relationally spatial awareness. I am interested in the ways the disabled body can disrupt space as well as the in-between spaces we each inhabit and the relationships within these intersecting identities.
