Technical Director/Production Manager

 
 The STREB Lab for Action Mechanics is seeking a positive, energetic, adventurous, and organized individual to head the vibrant technical arm of our organization.  The Technical Director/Production Manager oversees all technical aspects of facilitating the work of choreographer Elizabeth Streb both at home, at the STREB Lab for Action Mechanics, and on tour.  The Technical Director is also responsible for the technical maintenance of the SLAM facility. The Technical Director reports directly to the Artistic Director and the Producing Director.

 

We are in search of experienced candidates that have a curiosity for working with and building prototypical equipment, a strong background in the performing arts, fantastic time management and communication skills, and a love of hands on physical problem solving.

 

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of all elements of Theatrical Production—with an emphasis on Carpentry and Rigging. Experience with Chain Motors, Motors and Winches a must. CAD proficiency strongly desired.

 

This is a full-time, permanent position.  Salary commensurate with experience.
