Tango and Modern dance. Looking for dancers for my new piece

So I am reaching out to the bigger network in my curiosity to know if there are those out there who dance or are knowledgeable in both tango and modern dance/ballet,contact, etc. I am both a tango dancer and a modern dancer, and my choreography evolves from using those two techniques and seeing how to bring them together. Up until now I have worked with modern dancers (which has been fabulous!) but I have not gotten to fully develop my work because I have not had any tango dancers to add in to the mix.

I am looking to start a new piece that works with the themes that are present in tango poetry/lyrics. I would love to have some dancers that are somewhat knowledgeable in both tango and another dance such as modern so we can improvise through the different styles. However I know that is really slim, so I am also curious in knowing if there are any tango dancers or other modern dancers who would be interested in experimenting with these techniques.

I want to make this piece not only in the interest of what movement could come out of this process of using tango and modern dance, but also to start putting together a video of this work that I can send out to obtain future opportunities (performances, residencies, etc) You all know how it goes!!! If you’re interested please send me a little info about yourself and your dance background to my email: kottinger@gm.slc.edu.

Thanks!
