Legros Cultural Arts invites female choreographers to submit works in progress for our 4th Annual Women in the Arts Series: Women in Dance. The first showcase will be held July, 2012 and final showcase will be staged at the Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theatre in December 2012. To submit aproject please contact us via email: womenindance11@gmail.com Please include: Name of Choreographer, headshot, resume, title of piece, estimated length of piece, number of dancers who will perform the piece, a brief description of the work in progress, and a link to view the work you wish to submit or an excerpt of a work online. There is a non-refundable $15.00 application fee per submission payable online at www.legrosculturalarts.org (on the home page click on donate to submit your application fee). We will accept up to3submissions per choreographer. Deadline for submissions is March 15, 2012. The top 20 choreographers will be selected for a live audition in April, 2012 of which 10 choreographers will be selected for the project. Choreographers will have the opportunity to receive feedback from notable dance professionals through informal showings of their work. 2011 Mentors included: Ms. Debbie Allen, Ms. Camille A.
