Seeking choreographers for First Look, a choreographic workshop

 
Artistic Director, Lynn Parkerson and Ballet Master, Matthew Powell are seeking 10-15 choreographers of all genres of dance to participate in Brooklyn Ballet's second annual First Look choreographic workshop.

First Look provides artists with the opportunity to get their work on its feet in a creative, nurturing and non-judgemental performance setting. Completed works and works in progress are equally welcome.

Last year's participants included choreographers David Fernandez, Marilyn Klaus, and others.

The workshop will take place at the Schermerhorn Performance Space in the heart of downtown Brooklyn on the evenings of April 30th, May 7th, and 14th. Performances will be approximately one hour in length, followed by a Q & A moderated by the workshop's curator, Matthew Powell.

Additionally, limited rehearsal space will be available at the Brooklyn Ballet Studios on a first-come, first-served basis at no cost to the selected choreographers.

Resume and any web links to choreography reels
Title of piece (if any) and name of composer
Approximate run time of the piece
Number of dancers
Desired performance date
