ACOUSTIC/CLASSIC ROCK GUITARISTS NEEDED!!

Silent Fire Productions is hiring acoustic guitarists for a new dance class, “Contemporary for Ballet Dancers” starting April 5th at Stepping OUT Studios in Manhattan.

Class will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 3-5p.m. Guitarists will accompany for the first hour. Preferred but not required to be there for both days.

Looking for guitarists who can play a steady rhythm/riffs for warmup exercises. We have music but using your own compositions is definitely encouraged, as long as it fits with the style of music. We have a set repertoire of songs that we would like to start with and then we are looking to build on that with the guitarists input.

Style of music used will be acoustic versions of work from the following artists; Alice in Chains, Metallica, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eric Clapton/Cream, Led Zepplin, Down, Bad Company, and many more.

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. We are looking for guitarists who are strong and passionate players and are interested in trying something new and innovative. Accompanying a dance class is not difficult, it just takes coordinating and communicating with the teacher.

Pay will be commensurate on experience and class size. This is an open class so when we make money, you will make money- we recognize and appreciate that the accompanist is a huge part of the class- the backbone.

This is a great opportunity to work with one of fastest up and coming production companies here in New York City. Silent Fire Productions makes music videos, television shows and multimedia performances, combining dance, technology and music. Any musician that we work with through this class will have the opportunity to work with us on other projects through the company.
