AUDITION for J CHEN PROJECT

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 8

11:00 AM

Dany Studios

305 West 38th Street

J CHEN PROJECT is a NYC-based dance company founded in 2008.  We just returned from a seven month tour in Asia, Hawaii and LA.  We are casting dancers for our upcoming show titled, “TO IDENTIFY” and a national college tour.

REQUIREMENTS:  Seeking dancers with strong modern technique and a flow to their movement.  Other preferred skills are partnering and improvisation, since we use both in our creative process.  Dancers must be open to exploring their own voice as a dancer and collaborator.  **This project requires a diverse cast, so all ethnicities are encouraged to come!

Rehearsals are from July to September

Show premieres October

Tour Dates are to be determined.

COMPENSATION: Rehearsal and Performance pay

PLEASE RESERVE YOUR SPOT: INFO@JCHENPROJECT.COM

THE SHOW:  TO IDENTIFY is an evening length show with dance, art and expression.  We are exploring the masks and labels we wear in society.  The idea is not to rip off those masks and labels, but to be conscious of the choices we make and to identify them.  Our identities, stories and memories make up who we are and where we are going.  From the place of clarity we create art with our bodies…
