Technical Director/ Production Manager

 
The Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College, SUNY is seeking a full-time Technical Director/Production Manager. Responsibilities include:

1. Serving as Technical Director and Production Manager for all on-campus and off-campus Dance productions and events, and for other productions and events in the Dance Building.
2. Teaching a two semester dance production course.
3. Recruiting, training and supervising student crews.
4. Maintaining, repairing and updating the dance theater and studio spaces and equipment.
5. Providing technical needs for summer dance workshops.
6. Creating a professional, helpful and appropriate climate in which to educate students and present dance.
Candidate should have extensive knowledge of Dance Production areas of Lighting, Stage Management, Technical Direction, and Video Production. Should have 5 years minimum professional experience in the field of Dance or Theatre production as a stage manager, lighting director or technical director. Should have a wide variety of experience working with stage hands of all levels from mature to professional. Previous experience working with student crews is a plus. Bachelor of Arts is preferred.
