As an emerging force in New York’s dance ecology, Dance Parade seeks to develop a team of passionate individuals who will represent the organization to the hundreds of registered groups participating in our May 21st 2011 parade and festival. Under direction from our Production Committee chair, these team members will initially contact group coordinators from past parades and help them through the registration process via our website. Once registered, DP Liaisons will be the point of contact for up to ten groups and explain to their group coordinators how to get a DP float, audio, free webpage or participate in our Dance Festival or Educational Outreach program. DP Liaisons will essentially be a personal contact to these Dance organizations, meeting them face-to-face at their dance company, school, performance studio or nightclub and informing them of upcoming DP fundraising and social events. A thorough understanding of Dance Parade’s Business Plan, operating structure and relationships with DP team leaders will be necessary for effective candidates on this team.

Rewards include a generous stipend bonus paid to individuals for revenues earned or consideration of a team stipend based on hours worked toward committee goals, experience as a leader in a of a highly successful not-for-profit organization, exposure and relationships with many of New York City’s dance and nightlife leaders.

Dance Parade’s Liaison Team Members will have:

- Advanced organization skills to use DP information systems, excel or googledocs
