The Firebird

This will be a 10-minute short film set to Stravinsky's 1919 Version of The Firebird. The film centers around a young couple. After coming home from work, a young man is confronted by his girlfriend on charges of infidelity. During the ensuing argument and fight, dirty laundry airs and it turns rather histrionic and violent. eventually, after a substantial denouemant, the couple reconciles. i would love to go more in depth into the story if you email me. I can explain it to them more specifically and completely. My good friend Anna Barker is a professional choreographer and she will be choreographing the whole piece as a contemporary dance. evocative but not melodramatic. it will be in a relatively enclosed space and will be very gestural and idiosyncratic. it is a very lyrical piece as a whole and quite expressive. the cinematographer is also quite brilliant.
