Open Call for Submissions to The Rachel RADdow Show Performance Party
More Like RACHEL RADdow
An Unofficial Birthday Party for Rachel Maddow Celebrating the Ridiculous Circus that is Cable News
OPEN CALL TO ARTISTS OF ALL DISCIPLINES
Are you endlessly entertained (in an ironic way) by Fox & Friends? Can't stop thinking about Anderson Cooper? Have you ever wanted to live inside an episode of Portlandia?
Then we want you.
To create... something.
On March 31 at the Magic Futurebox, Brain Melt Consortium is producing a performance extravaganza counting down to Rachel Maddow's April 1 birthday. We are looking for performance groups, dance companies, video artists, musicians, sculptors -- YOU NAME IT. If you have an awesome cable-news inspired idea that can be accomplished in one space on one night, we want to work with you. The more interactive the better. The sillier the better. The RADDer the better. We're interested in curating something that can be a showcase for other arts groups, so if you have a company, fantastic! If you're a solo performance artist, also fantastic!
If this sounds like something you're interested in, email brainmeltconsortium@gmail.com with a brief description of what it is you do, links to any websites or media that might showcase it, and a rough idea of what you'd like to contribute. Make it as big or as tiny as your heart desires. We've got an amazing warehouse space at our disposal, let's find creative ways to use it!
