areaDANCE

Saturday March 3rd @ 12:30pm

areaDANCE is a co-oporated company in the process of expanding it's artistic scope through collaboration, and an eager openness. Drawn to vulnerability and risk, the work allows each performance to exist as a fleeting moment. We view new inspirations as opportunities to explore boundaries and see potential in space, time, and intention. Movement shares many commonalities, but the breadth of the work is within the through-line that allows movement to become meaning, to become a statement.

In the past year areaDANCE has shown work in venues in and around NYC including DUMBO DANCE FESTIVAL, The Outlet Dance Project, WAXworks, Greenspace Fertile Ground, The Norristown Dance Festival, The Brockport Alumni Showcase and The CheckUsOut Festival. They premiered new work in their first full length concert this past fall, and are currently planning a nyc show for late 2012.

Britney Falcon: Britney is looking for 1 male or female dancer to learn existing repertory and participate in the creation of a new work. Looking for dancers with strong modern technique, partnering/contact experience, and a rhythmic background. Paid performances.

Sarah Moore: Sarah is looking for 4-5 dancers for the creation of a new work that will have future performance opportunities this year. Looking for dancers with a strong modern background and partnering/ contact improv experience. Unfortunately, I am unable to provide rehearsal pay, but there will be a small stipend for performances.
