The Joyce Theater, New York's preeminent theater for dance, seeks Programming Interns to assist the Programming Associate with artist services and project management beginning April 25, 2012 or shortly thereafter through at least June 25, 2012. The Programming Intern will need to be available on Monday thru Thursday in the evenings from 6-9pm, and at least one afternoon during the week. Responsibilities include assisting with summer programming, including overseeing rehearsals for a community project, communication with participants in this project, maintaining and updating files and data bases and assisting with preparations for the fall 2012 season. Office experience, good communication and organization skills, and familiarity with dance are required.
