Dancer and choreographer Laura Carruthers is in search of dancers for the filming of her upcoming performance project, Fire and Grace in Los Angeles, CA.

Fire and Grace seamlessly weaves traditional Highland dance with broader forms of choreography to create a performance that is dynamic, theatrical, and speaks to the audiences of today.

We're looking for vibrant and dynamic dancers, heights under 5’9’’ with very strong ballet technique, fast footwork, good theatrical skills, and an open and positive attitude toward the fusion of various styles of dance. All ethnicities are encouraged to attend.

Rehearsals will take place from July 15-27 in Los Angeles, and the filming will take place in Scottsdale, AZ from July 30-August 4.

Dancers will receive $6,000 for the project, plus transportation and accommodation.

The audition will take place at Ripley Grier Studios (520 8th Ave) on Friday, June 8th. Female dancers 10:30-noon and male dancers 12:30-2:00. Dancers should arrive warmed up and ready to go. Please bring resume, headshot, ballet shoes and wear dance attire that clearly shows off your lines.
