Auditions for men for Grounded Aerial Dance Company

AUDITIONS FOR MEN

Grounded Aerial is holding auditions for its upcoming season.

Audition Date:

(be warmed up by) 3:30pm, October 17th

Audition Location:

Embody Language at 241 Bedford Ave. (btwn N3rdand N4th), Buzzer #7, Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Come if youare ready to commit to a year of (once a week) rehearsals. We need two male members that are unique individuals; technical dancers who (preferably) have aerial experience and an acting background. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE AN AERIALIST! Ideal candidates are comfortable with improvisation and love to be creative and focused in a team atmosphere. A gymnastic and/or climbing background is highly encouraged, and upper-body and core strength are necessaryto learn Grounded’s (mainly harness-based) repertoire and to create new pieces. We will select daring, committed, and resilient performers who excel at character development and playful collaboration in a rigorous aerial environment.

Paid performances throughout the year. Some shows the pay (corporate work) will be up to $800.00 a show. And other shows will be around $150.00--it really varies per venue, and client.

Unpaid aerial rehearsals will be Wednesdays from 3:30-6:00pm

(with additional rehearsals as upcoming gigs approach)
