Seeking African American and Caucasian tap dancers and physical theatre performers, interested in performing in a play at The Connelly Theatre from April 24th -27th.

Bitingly relevant and radically entertaining, this lost American classic powerfully dramatizes the world’s first global financial crisis, the New York Panic of 1857.Casting an uncompromising eye on characters in every stratum of society, from Park Avenue privilege to Dickensian squalor, the play follows the unscrupulous bankerGideon Bloodgood and the intertwining fates of the families he imperils.

Mixing riotous humor, visceral emotion and political potency,this productionreinvigoratesthe vibrant, but neglected, tradition of Americanmelodrama. This is aNew York story with globalresonance that speaks to themost pressing concerns ofour age.

This production will be mentored by Anne Bogart (SITI Company) and Brian Kulick (CSC).

Rehearsals will start on the4thMarch, every effort will be made to accommodate other work and commitments.
