Call for Choreography

Show your work in Spark Movement Collective'sBrace

Summary

Spark Movement Collective’s mission is to create an accessible dance experience. In the past we’ve created accessible experiences for audiences, our dancers, and children. Now we are extending our mission to choreographers. We want to give emerging choreographers the opportunity to present their work in a professional performance without the stress of coordinating a full production, fundraising, and more. We provide the stage and you provide the work. Artistic Director Chelsea Koenig and Assistant Artistic Director Matt Dittes will select up to 4 choreographers to show their work in Brace, a collection of duets by Spark and guest choreographers, on November 21st at 7:30pm at University Settlement’s Speyer Hall.

Theme/Prompt

Duet(s): We want one duet, two duets, a series of duets, duets inside of duets inside of duets, you name it! Think outside of the box or inside of the box as far as duets go. The only catch is that there needs to be a duet in your piece.

Pieces should be no longer than 12 minutes long. Choreographers must provide their own dancers.
