Internship with choreographer Vanessa Anspaugh

 

Choreographer Vanessa Anspaugh is looking to bring on an intern to support Vanessa’s work via administrative support, organization, and sustainable business tactics.  The intern will work closely Vanessa, receiving training and oversight from Sarah A.O. Rosner of A.O. PRO(+ductions), to support Vanessa’s choreographic work.   This internship is a great opportunity for hands-on learning from both an exciting choreographer and an experienced arts administrator.

 Though the internship is unpaid, there is the opportunity for you to spend time in the studio with Vanessa and her dancers with the potential to do some understudying as well as potential for this position to expand into a paid administrative capacity for the right candidate.  We are looking for an intern who can sign on for at least 6 months of work, starting September 15th . Intern will mostly likely work with Vanessa a few hours a week to start—schedule is flexible and TBD.

Duties may include: 

§  General administrative help

§  Digital organization of files, photos, video

§  Scheduling, rehearsals, performers, and communicating w/ residencies

§  Grant Research & Organization, Calendar Integration, Timeline Maintenance

§  Attending rehearsals & capturing/posting media

§  Website, Facebook, Social Media integration

Ideal candidates will be super-organized and motivated self-starters interested in learning how to excel as makers/administrators in the dance world. Professionalism and reliability a must!
