The 3rd annual LUNGS (Loisadia United Neighborhood Gardens)  Harvest Arts Festival will celebrate green spaces and locally choreographed dance at La Plaza Cultural from 2-5pm on Sat 20th September. La Plaza has been center for activism and urban gardening since 1976 and we are proud to be showcasing NY dance talent in this space for the first time at the festival. 3 introduced dance to the festival, with over 10 local groups performing. 2013 introduced dance to the festival, with over 10 local groups performing.

This year we're looking for dance pieces that reflect the spirit of a green and collaborative community to participate.
This year the dance program will be held in La Plaza Cultural, a center for community activism and urban gardening since 1976.

We are looking for committed, quality performers to participate in this years program. Please submit the following details if interested:

1. Name of your group and link to website

2. Name, style and duration of proposed piece

2. Link to a video clip of the piece or similar

3. Why you think having a garden as a stage would be AMAZING

More about the festival:

Over 30 gardens will be hosting workshops, speakers and entertainment related to all things green, gardens and arts throughout the day. The timing also coincides with the People's Climate March on Sun 20th and we will be collaborating with particpating organizations to host speaker programs in gardens on Saturday, ensuring a large audience turnout.
