An artist community where feedback and support are at the forefront of the process.

Produced and curated by Arielle Petruzzella and Robert Mark Burke, the 12 by 12 Dance Initiative is entering its second year and is looking for 12 new choreographers. 

The 12 by 12 Dance Initiative seeks to create community of working artists where feedback and support are at the forefront of the process. Each choreographer selected will be designated one month in which they are expected to produce the majority of their work and post inspiration and process to our social media page. Three times a year, all seleceted choreographers will meet to view the work of the previous 4 month's choreographers, provide feedback, and participate in an open discussion. As a culminating event, the 12 choreographers will present their new works in an immersive performance in January, 2016. 

Rehearsal space will not be provided, however there will be no fees required of the selected choreographers (after the $10 application fee) to have their work presented in the performance event. 

Choreographers are welcomed to submit an application to be considered for the 2015 season. Application process will be open until December 1st, 2014 and choreographer's will be notified by December 19th, 2014. Please include an application fee for $10.00 (check only) made out to Robert Mark Burke and mailed to:
