We'll likely be shooting for about 2-4 hours or might have 2 days for two hours each depending on how much time we need to prepare. Pay for the choreographer will vary based on hours needed from $100-300 and for the backing dancers $60-150 We might need extra time for rehearsal as well depending on how complex the dance will be, if so pay will be $15 an hour for rehearsal.
Shoot location will be at Gibney dance studio on 280 Broadway Studio H. Shoot date(s) will be determined upon finalizing cast. March 12th from 8am-12am is currently the only 4 hour slot open, I'm aiming for this date. http://www.gibneydance.org/studio-rentals/
For the choreographer I'll need him/her to teach the lead actress of the video some simple but good moves to use in the video. Heres a video clip of her free styling for the 1st time. We likely just need a few key moves to shoot. The rest of the dancers we'd like to integrate into the band shots, perhaps have the dancers weave in and out of the bands performance area or have them circle the band in a creative way. We are still brainstorming. There's a lot of creative freedom here. Ballet is the general style of dance we're aiming for but I'm open to all forms of dance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CD3xgb-mlI
Please send video references to your dancing or work that you've choreographed. Thank you :)
