Seeking 3 Male-Identified Latino Dancers

Seeking 3 Male-Identified Latino Dancers Links Hall, 3X5, 2014

I am a choreographer seeking out 3 male-identified latino/brown dancers to workshop a new piece that looks at the question of how a drill can become a dance and move from the singular to the collective. I am specifically looking at how race and gender play a role in the idea of preparing for precision and being together vs. being alone.

I am open to ALL levels of expertise and style and ALL body types and abilities. Dancers would need to meet together for 2 hours in mid April to workshop movement and again for 2 hours on April 19th to do a short informal preview to a group of local artists and performers. (4 hours total)

A note about payment: This is an unpaid opportunity, but if selected to continue with the work, dancers will be offered an honorarium for future work.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
