Dance with In-Sight Dance Company at Socrates Sculpture Park

1. AUDITIONS

In-Sight Dance Company is looking for male and female trained dancers interested in performing in our 2015 Suite Summer Festival.  4-6 dancers will be hired. Performances and most rehearsals will be site specific and outside at
Socrates Sculpture Park.

Audition Dates: 
August 2nd 11:00am to 12:30pm
August 6th    4:30pm to 6:00pm
 
Note: Auditions will take place in Socrates Sculpture Park.  Please plan accordingly.
Dress:  Layers with sturdy shoes that can get dirty (sneakers suggested.)  Dance apparel (leotards, tights, ballet shoes etc.) is not appropriate.

No preperation necesary.  
No cost for audition.  
Audition will consist of warm up and choreography.

Contract Details:
Please review the rehearsal schedule prior to auditions.  Each dancer cast will be placed in a group and is only responsible for that group's rehearsals.

Total pay: $375.
Total time commitment: Rehearsals and performance 25 hours.
Performance: Site specific restaging of selections from In-Sight Dance Company's most recent work Pleading Against Prophecy

2. Companies: Apply to be presented

Applications are still open for emerging, mid-career, and master choreographers and companies to participate in the Suite Summer Festival.  Click here for details.  Deadline July 31st.  This festival is unique as it is SITE SPECIFIC in the park.

We are looking for dance companies and dance artists that are dedicated to creating high quality artistic work and are interested in connecting with community by creating and performing at the beautiful Socrates Sculpture Park this summer. You may create a new work specifically for the park OR retrofit an existing piece to be performed in the park.

BENEFITS FOR PARTICIPATING COMPANIES

2 - Full production and promotional support for the performance.
3 - Support beyond the festival. This includes:
* A one-on-one coaching session with artistic director, Leeanne M. G-Bowley. Ms G-Bowley teaches and coaches nonprofit leaders nationwide. Topics include board development, proposal writing, fundraising planning, fiscal sponsorship, career development, nonprofit leadership,

* Upon fulfillment of the letter of agreement, you will receive a letter of support from In-Sight Dance Company that can be used for funding and partnership proposals.

* An invitation to a post-performance networking event with fellow artists.

No application nor performance fee.
