Internship at Brooklyn Studios for Dance

Internship at Brooklyn Studios for Dance

Brooklyn Studios for Dance is seeking one individual who is committed to sharing their time, heart, and mind to help build and maintain our growing organization in exchange for access to activities and events. The purpose of this internship is to establish a model of mutual benefit rather than create a job. A candidate should be self-managed, voracious, and methodical.

Responsibilities of the position will include: staffing events, coordinating volunteers, updating social media, and studio/building maintenance. Additional responsibilities will be determined in accordance with an individual's skill set and interest.

Work will take place in and around Brooklyn Studios for Dance, which is located at 210 Lafayette Ave. in Brooklyn. This position will begin immediately and continue through the remainder of BkSD’s spring season, concluding June 12th, in exchange for access to all BkSD activities taking placing during the internship including classes, performances and rehearsal space, schedule permitting. This is an opportunity to learn how a creative, nonprofit, startup functions. In addition, a small stipend will be provided. We are not qualified to sponsor an artist or work visa. See our spring schedule HERE.
