Work-Study Opportunity at an authentic Argentine Tango studio

Work-Study Opportunity at an authentic Argentine Tango studio

Dardo Galletto Studios, New York City's leading authentic Argentine Tango Studio, has openings available-- backup support for classes, workshop, and milonga staff.

The Work-Study Program provides students the ability to work in exchange for classes, milongas and practicas, floor space (when available), plus discounts for workshops and other events.  You'll get hands-on learning about Argentinian culture and opportunities to meet renowned tango professionals on a personal level.

Seeking participants to assist with running the front desk, checking in students, processing payments, cleaning, answering phone calls, and other administrative tasks.  We also need help with special events (some nights and weekends) such as practicas and parties. Shifts are a minimum of 4-5 hours weekly in exchange for an equal number of amazing dance classes and are good for one month.

We need responsible, dedicated people who share our passion for dance and can commit six months to the same shift every week or can work weekends and late nights. Shift times vary and are available Monday through Sunday.

Visiting NYC for less than six months? You'll start as an entry level temp with supervised cleaning shifts (Mondays and Wednesdays, 12-4 pm or 1-5 pm; no computer access).

Full participation includes access to our computer systems and requires a six-month commitment with a minimum of two shifts per month (8-10 hours).  Have limited availability and can't do 8-10 hours each month?  Join our reserves corps team.

We require four training sessions of approximately 4 hours each.  For these 16 hours, you will get two credits (2 hours) of classes for each session (total of 8 credits). Moving forward every hour of work would equal one hour of dance class and/or admission to practicas and milongas.

To apply, please email your resume and schedule an intake interview and studio tour at the newbies' section of our work study portal.

Cherise, the work study coordinator, will contact you for a phone/face to face interview based on qualifications and availability.

Virtual (phone and Internet access required) and on-site training will be arranged upon acceptance into the program.
