Dance Instructors Needed for 2016-2017 Season

 


Dance School located in Rye Brook, NY is looking for:

- (Ballet) American Ballet Theater NTC Certified Teacher : all levels for classes up to 3 days a week Tues., Thurs., and Sat. Classes range from 3 year olds to Advanced Teens Ballet/Pointe. Comfortable with collaborating and choreographing a ballet for the end of the year. Need someone with tons of patience and works extremely well with children who may not become professional dancers. Able to commit to the entire year and is reliable. Own transportation or use mass transit (Metro North New Haven Line). If not ABT Certified, please feel free to apply as well. 

- (Jazz/Hip Hop) Experienced Instructor who is comfortable and capable of teaching a couple jazz classes and a majority of Hip Hip classes to kids 5 years old - Teens. Tues., Thurs., and a couple boys Hip Hop classes on Fridays. Looking for someone who is interested in helping grow a program. Must have tons of patience and works extremely well with children who may not become professional dancers. Able to commit to the entire year and is reliable. Own transportation or use mass transit (Metro North New Haven Line) 

- Performance Company Director: (preferably a teacher who will also be teaching during the week) Duties: manage company budget, attend performances, find choreographers for company, organize yearly calendar, hold company auditions, stay in contact with company members weekly, attend all rehearsals (Saturday afternoons) even if not setting choreography on dancers. Company performs different styles (contemporary, jazz, modern/ horton, theater).

Instructors must be available to teach week of Aug. 15th or 22nd M-F 9-2pm to be considered for the position. If not available, you must send a video of you teaching kids.
