Fall 2016 Events:
1/28 - TAG
2/9 - Ready Freddy’s?! Winter Edition
3/18 - Evening of Performance Inspired by Liinu Grönlund

-----------------------------------------------------------

TAG
Performance date: Saturday, January 28th
Venue: Brooklyn Works in South Slope, Brooklyn

TAG is back! TAG is exactly what it sounds like - a game of tag, but between artists! TAG will feature artists of different disciplines who will develop new work live at the event by creating something and then tagging an artist of a different discipline to continue where they left off. There will be multiple cycles throughout the event, culminating with a collection of multidisciplinary art installations throughout the space. When artists aren't working, they are encouraged to continue to hang out in the event space, prepared to be tagged in and start working.

Both artists and audience members will be encouraged to come to the event with materials to contribute to the creative process - a paint brush, a piece of fabric, their favorite song, etc.

Learn more about TAG here, which we first organized in June 2016.

We would like to extend this year's TAG as an opportunity for artists to feel comfortable expressing and exploring their feelings on the current state of our country and world. Taking place one week after the inauguration, we are aware that artists and audiences alike will be tackling many heightened thoughts and emotions. TAG will be a safe and welcoming space to explore those feelings in an open and collaborative workspace.

To participate, send an email to submit@thecreatorscollective.org with your name, artistic discipline, and two work samples of your work (performers: you should be in the videos). If you are an artist we’ve worked with before, simply send an email with your interest in participating. We encourage each interested artist to recruit an artist of another discipline to come along to create as well.

Deadline to Apply: Thursday, January 12th

Ready Freddy’s?!

Performance date: Thursday, February 9th
Venue: Freddy’s Bar and Backroom in South Slope, Brooklyn

Ready Freddy's?! is a recurring event that brings together live music, dance and video through improvisation, collaboration and performance. We are always looking for new (and returning!) artists to participate.

Past collaborations and performances include:
- A dancer improvising to a live music set
- A pre-developed collaboration between a choreographer and a composer
- A musician performing an improvised score to a short film
- All artists are encouraged to share their own work as well as participate in a collaboration or improvised set.

Learn more about Ready Freddy’s?! here.

To submit work, please send an email to submit@thecreatorscollective.org with your name, artistic discipline, and two work samples (specifying if either is the work you wish to perform).

Deadline to Apply: Wednesday, January 18th
