Seeking male contemporary dancers of diverse ethinic backgrounds for development of a new work by choreographer Jimmy Burgio and Mitra Dance. "Act of Contrition" is a modern parable set in a catholic school which uses contemporary dance, miming, and physical theatre to examine the idea of masculinity and how it affects the development of young boys as they grow into adults. This piece will be made in collaboration with the dancers, as well as a filmmaking team, sound designer, and photographer. 

Live presentation of the work will be in early summer 2017. Participation in the lab process this spring will give preference to dancers for the actual production. 

Must have tuesday/thursday afternoon availability for rehearsals.
