Open Call for Experimental Dance Film

Still from previous film Gus Reed

Open Call for Experimental Dance Film

Seeking dancers, yoga practitioners, or interested people of all body types for an experimental dance film about musculature, surface tension, and movement, tracking subtle changes in muscles. Each shoot will be collaborative and last around 1-2 hours. There will be some choreography, but in general the filming will be individualized to the experience and body of each participant. All of the shots will involve bare skin (e.g. forearms, clavicle, ribs, etc), but there will be no explicit nudity and we are respectful of all comfort levels. We are looking for a diverse group, so all ages, backgrounds, experience levels, and body types are encouraged to get in touch.

The director’s work has previously featured on Vice, The Telegraph, Slate, The Huffington Post, and Indiewire, among others.

To apply, please fill out this form with a brief bio and your availability:

Current shoot dates are Sunday, August 6, and Sunday Aug 13, however more times will be scheduled for the week of Aug 7 and in early September.
