This is It: Your Opportunity to Join The Circus (Or Join the Muse Brooklyn’s Raising the Bar Intensive Program)

It's never too late to run away with the circus!

At The Muse Brooklyn, our hearts beat circus. We’re a diverse community of performers, athletes, and artists, and we’re so excited to launch our brand-new Circus Intensive Series “Raising the Bar”. This program is for individuals looking to elevate their circus practice to a more focused study or pre-professional training.

Over a course of 3 months, participants in our Raising the Bar Intensive program will have access to unlimited open training at our state-of-the-art studio in Brooklyn and one session per month with a mentor who will guide and support them in their creative journey.

The Raising the Bar Intensive Program is broken into 3 trimesters with a choice between 3 focused tracks:

-Vertical Aerial (silks/rope)
-Horizontal Aerial (trapeze/lyra)
-Ground Acrobatic

All tracks include course options such as juggling, tumbling, ballet, flexibility, and conditioning to round out and enhance your training and all-around knowledge. The end of each Intensive culminates in a closing demonstration of progress and skills learned. Participants are invited to showcase their skills or a performance piece at our Evolve Student Showcase.

Raising the Bar Intensive requires an application and an audition. The audition is on September 9, 2017, and your placement in the program will be decided by a panel of highly trained circus professionals. This program runs 3 times a year and the Evolve Student Showcase is hosted at the end of each Program series.

Our ideal candidates love working in a diverse community and can commit to being a part of ours for at least 3 months.
