Audition!

Ballet Wichita's Guest Artistic Director Karen Brown and Director/Choreographer Sean McLeod are HOLDING AUDITIONS IN NYC FOR female and male leads for a new commissioned Nutcracker Ballet for the 2017 season IN WICHITA, KS!  The performance run is December 13 - 17 in Wichita, Kansas AND will include rehearsals with the Director/Choreographer Sean McLeod in NYC prior to the concert dates.  The engagement is paid, includes travel, accommodations, and perdiem in Wichita for the length of the performance run.  Candidates must be proficient in  classical and contemporary dance with good stage presence and dramatic acting skills.  Skill in Pointe work and advanced partnering are a must for the female role.  The male must also be proficient in advanced partnering, grande allegro,  tours and beats.  Equal to that, the dancer must be a nice person with great work habits and no drama.  People with traditionally stereotypical airs need not apply.  We are looking for great dancers who are great people and gracious.
