Shine is New York City’s leading provider of pop-up classes, parties, workshops, events, and camps for kids ages 0-10 years old. We take children’s education, enrichment, and entertainment out of traditional environments and make them mobile by creating unique pop-up experiences in client’s homes, a building’s common space, or at venues in and around Manhattan.  

Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic assistant instructor to co-teach early childhood arts-enrichment classes. The instructor will assist a head-teacher in leading small groups of children ages 2-7 years old. The instructor must be polished, flexible, hard-working, outgoing, and good with children and adults. Classroom and event responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, collaborative planning, prep and clean up, storybook reading, and assisting in art, science, and cooking projects.

We encourage professionals and students who are interested in gaining experience in the early childhood education field to apply. The position also offers the opportunity to work with the business’ founder/director in teaching environments. We offer competitive pay and room for growth within a developing small business.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 years work experience with children ages 2 - 7 years old

Must have a creative sensibility and be articulate, organized, self-motivated, high energy, and able to work as part of a team.
