Spark Movement Collective (Spark) seeks a well-rounded, athletic male dancer with a background in modern and ballet for its 2018 Season. Spark is looking for dancers with strong stage presence, clean technique, precise movement, and the ability to give creative input while picking up steps quickly. Rehearsals are regularly held on Mondays from 6:30-9:30pm with one additional weekly rehearsal scheduled around dancer and studio availability. Dancers must be available to perform on March 3rd and 4th at BAX/Brooklyn Arts Exchange, with the flexibility to add additional performance on March 10th and 11th.

Spark’s mission is to create an accessible dance experience by approaching universal concepts and issues, working with multi-disciplinary artists, and fostering a positive, creative environment for dancers. To learn more about Spark visit www.sparkmovementcollective.org.

Dancers will receive a stipend for participating in performances on March 3rd and 4th, in addition to performing in any other shows that are produced by Spark (ie not showcases or festivals). The base payment for a weekend of performances is $200, and the stipend increases each year a dancer is with Spark.
