Submissions for outdoor performance in Forest Park (Springfield, MA)

ABOUT THE EVENT:

Two Western Massachusetts dancers are organizing an outdoor performance in Forest Park (Springfield, MA) to correspond with National Water Dance. The event will include performances by a student dance group, an older adult dance group, and professional dancers.

We are seeking choreography submissions for any genre of work between 5 and 10 minutes that can be performed on a grassy area. This will be a very naturalistic, informal showcase. National Water Dance is an effort to use dance to increase awareness of water issues in our country. While the works submitted do not need to directly address environmentalism, we hope to show that our art can happen without excessive carbon footprint/technology/waste.

Performers must be available April 14th. Dress rehearsal will happen the same day as the performance. More information to come.

Videography of your work is not guarunteed. Feel free to have someone film your work for you.

TO SUBMIT YOUR WORK:

Please email work sample videos (3 to 5 minutes) or any questions to danadurendance@gmail.com by March 5th.
