9/11 Table of Silence Project

CALL FOR PROFESSIONAL AND ADVANCED DANCERS:

Thursday, August 16th, 7:30-10:00 pm | Call Back 8/17, 7:30pm - at Steps on Broadway  

Advance Registration Required by August 14th. E-mail to buglisi@buglisidance.org with “Table of Silence Project– Dance/NYC” in the subject line: 1) Full Name; 2) Resume with dance experience; 3) Dance Photo; 4) Phone Number. Dancers must receive an email confirmation from Buglisi Dance Theatre to attend the Call for Dancers on 8/16.

Past performers of the Table of Silence Project need not attend the Call for Dancers, but must confirm their participation at buglisi@buglisidance.org.

Dance/NYC is pleased to join with Buglisi Dance Theatre, its partner The September Concert, and professional colleagues and friends from the NYC dance community on the eighth presentation of the 9/11 Table of Silence Project performance ritual for peace at Lincoln Center streamed live around the world. Since the inaugural performance in 2011, nearly 1200 dancers have performed in the Table of Silence Project, and over several hundred thousand people have viewed the live stream across all 50 states and in 129 countries.

A Call to Action: New Yorker for Dance Jacqulyn Buglisi invites all dance companies and dancers with professional experience to unite with her in this transcendent message of compassion and tolerance, to touch the hearts of many from the cultural capital of America to the world. Your passionate performance makes this message a powerful testimonial of freedom for all people and is imperative at this time in our history.-jb

The Table of Silence Project represents the common threads of humanity which unite all mankind into a single force with common goals and aspirations regardless of race, culture, or religion.
