Ballet Hispánico Community Arts Partnerships Logo

Position Description
Ballet Hispánico´s Community Arts Partnerships (CAP) is currently accepting applications for teaching artists who are versed in flamenco, Afro-Caribbean, or Latin American dance forms (folkloric, traditional, or social) to collaborate with school residencies, workshops, and master classes we offer for K-12 students, educators, dance audiences, senior centers, and public events.

Our unique program celebrates Latino and Hispanic heritage through dance, exploring the integration of art and culture into lifetime learning opportunities for further discovery.

Our faculty is comprised of personable dance teachers who add versatility to our program with their expertise in dance forms that represent NYC´s multicultural diversity.

In addition to promoting authenticity in the dance genres they focus on, our teachers create fun lessons that break down learning goals, making them accessible to children in an easy to understand, child-friendly structured manner, honoring the NYC Blue Print for Dance Education.

Our CAP lesson plans include balanced class progressions applying sound dance training and pedagogy principles, fomenting creative exploration, providing sociocultural contextual references, connecting academic areas with dance through curriculum integration projects, and choreographic performances presented at the end of school residencies.
