We are hiring Company members who are experienced performers and strong physical movers. Those interested should have backgrounds in contemporary dance, physical theater, breaking/tricking, or acrobatics. They should have an eagerness for the research of movement mechanics as well as an interest in societal, spiritual and humanitarian studies.

Work week will average 12 hrs per week/9 months per year. Dancers must live in/near Detroit or be comfortable with relocating by September 1st, 2019. Paid rehearsals, touring, and performances.

The audition in April will take place at the Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance (4841 Cass Ave, Detroit, MI 48202, 3rd Floor) at Wayne State University. All audition participants must pre-register using the following webpage: https://www.baira.co/auditions 

The audition schedule from April 25th-26th is as follows:
Thursday, April 25th (Audition)
11am - Registration/Space Opens for Self Warm-Up
12pm-3pm - Audition Class

Friday, April 26th (Callbacks to be held by invitation only)
10am - Space Opens for Self Warm-Up
11am-2pm - Workshop & Interviews

*Audition participants on Thursday, April 25th will be notified via email on the evening of April 25th regarding invitation to the callback on April 26th.

If you are unable to make it to the audition in April, we highly encourage you to come to our second Detroit-based audition, which will take place on Sunday, August 4th.
