Connecticut Dance Center (CDC) is looking for dance teachers to join our team. Now in its 7th year in Stamford, Connecticut, CDC is known for providing high- level, technical training in a warm and welcoming environment for students aged 2-18. We believe dance education is about fostering a passion for moving while also learning transferable skills that can be carried forward.

CDC currently offers classes in the following styles: Pre-ballet, Ballet (pre-pointe, pointe & variations), Disney Hip-hop, Hip-hop, Jazz (Street & Broadway), Acro, Contemporary, Partnering, Modern, and Tap.

The ideal candidate is responsible, reliable, positive, and energetic with a background in dance and 2+ year experience teaching professionally.

Responsibilities:
Be timely for all classes and studio events
Maintain a positive learning environment in the classroom during the school year (September - June)
Choreograph a themed dance for the Spring Concert and ensure dancers are secure in their performance
Dance Instructors are expected to attend dress rehearsal for the Spring Concert and the final Spring Concert shows (Friday- Sunday). The Spring Concert dates are announced at then beginning of the school year

Qualifications:
Must live in reasonable proximity to Stamford, CT
Must be available weekdays and/or Saturdays
2+ years experience teaching children
Reliable transportation
College degree - BA/BFA/MA/MFA in dance or education a plus
