Social Media Intern - International Dance and Global Water Event
On June 15, 2019, 170+ communities around the world will be “dancing for safe water, for everyone, everywhere”.
Some sites will be going live on Facebook and Instagram and some sites will be posting photos and videos the day of. We need a social media intern on the ground to help post our New York City events, as well as repost the content of our sites around the world as they produce content.
This position will report to the Project Manager and Artistic Director of Global Water Dances.
Qualifications:
Competence with social media platforms: Facebook (live), Twitter, Instagram etc.
Professional experience with social media marketing
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Cultural awareness and sensitivity
Strong attention to detail
Passion for the arts and/or environment
Ability to work independently as well as function successfully within a collaborative team
Responsibilities
Work with existing and create new social media content consistent with GWD’s mission and social media strategy.
Ensure postings are completed on social media platforms based on the timelines.
Communicate with the Program Manager and Artistic Director as needed to ensure timely and effective social media communications

Hours of Work: 2-4 hours per week for 5 weeks or longer
