October Outdoor Performance Lab

October Outdoor Performance Lab

We are inviting you to dance with Cross Move Lab's company dancers and students.

We would like to create an ensemble based on improvisation while keeping the advised distancing between each other. Our Founder/Artistic Director Guanglei Hui will be leading the creative process, planning to make an ensemble piece of 30-40 minutes long.

After those tough months of isolation, we would like to share the joy of moving and creating as a group in a safe environment. We decided to hold this performance Lab outdoor, in New York City’s biggest Park to be able to use the space as much as we want and still respect the CDC COVID-19 guidelines while the weather permits it. We want to make you feel free as much as safe. There will be no physical contact between dancers and always 6 feet between everyone. The mask will be mandatory to attend the classes and rehearsals. It is also recommended for you to bring your own hand sanitizer.

After 5 sessions of rehearsals we will have a live performance on Thursday, October 29th at 5PM EST, showcasing the work created. We will also record it to later share it virtually.
