Wondrous Dance Artist Residency - Street Styles Encouraged

 
Artist Residency 2020-2021

Wondrous - Residency is hosting emerging dance and movement artist(s) for development of new projects and choreography. Conditions: rehearsal studio time, stage and/or video production for work presentation.

Where: Locals who can travel to Brooklyn, NY where the studio is located; or those who want to create their projects in their own space but would like to be able to present their work on stage and/or filmed professionally.
 
When: Residency from November 23rd to April 15th with the show set for Late May (covid-pending) or video shot around the same date

This residency is for dancers with a focus of street dance styles, but all styles of dance are welcome to apply.

General requirements:

– The project must be an original work, in just starting or creation phase and yet to premiere, in the field of Dance and/or Performance. Multiple works could be considered to be presented

– Single or multiple artists can apply, maximum of 10 dancers per submission. Please list the main contact for this project as well as other dancers participating.

– Presentation of the project, including identification, description, biographies of the interveners, planned calendar and mention other existing supports; are needed during the duration of the project

– Submission of videos from previous projects

Wondrous will not be able to cover additional costs such as travel, props, etc. We will provided selected artists with weekly studio space as well as the production for them to present their work on a stage with other fellow selectees. We will do our best to provide what we can to make this work come to life.
