Abrons Arts Center: Performance AIRspace Residency

 

Abrons Arts Center application for  2021-2022 Performance AIRspace Residency program is live! 

With support from The Jerome Foundation, four early career movement-based performing artists will be selected for a one-year residency and the opportunity to develop and present a new artwork as part of Abrons' presenting season. 

 

The four selected residents will receive:

-$5,000 commission for a new work to be presented at Abrons as part of our 2021-2022 Presenting Season. Performances must be programmed to occur before June 30, 2022

-200 hours of fully subsidized studio space in any of our performance studios (excluding Studio G-05) and theaters

-1 week Production Residency 

-Studio visits with curators, artists, and cultural workers

-Monthly cohort meetings with resident artists

 

Please be aware of the following dates for the application process:

-November 12, 2020, 12:00PM ET: Applications go live

-December 13, 2020 at 11:59PM ET: Applications close

-Week of January 18, 2021: Finalist Interviews

-February 8, 2021: All Applicants notified
