YEAR-ROUND PROGRAM AUDITIONS 2021-2022

The Ellison Ballet - Professional Training Program is a year-round, full-day training program designed to meet the needs of those dedicated students ages 12-19 who seek the highest standard of classical ballet education to prepare for a professional career.

Working daily under Edward Ellison's artistic direction and his faculty's careful guidance, students develop the essential skills to fully explore and realize their greatest individual potential. There is great emphasis on our men's program, focusing on the development of the power, stamina, and masculinity associated with strong male technique.

Ellison Ballet graduates have gone on to dance with companies including American Ballet Theatre, Paris Opera Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Mariinsky Ballet, Dutch National Ballet, Houston Ballet, National Ballet of Canada, Ballet West, Tulsa Ballet, Mikhailovsky Ballet, Stuttgart Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, Colorado Ballet, Finnish National Ballet, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal, and many more!

IN-PERSON AUDITIONS
 
Ellison Ballet will hold in-person audition classes for 2021 entry to the year-round Professional Training Program on the following date: 

AUDITION DATE: Sunday, July 11, 2021   
Ages 12-13:  Check-In: 10:30am   Audition: 11:00am-12:45pm (USA-EDT)
Ages 14-15:  Check-In: 12:30pm   Audition: 1:30pm-3:30pm (USA-EDT)
Ages 16-19:  Check-In: 3:30pm    Audition: 4:00pm-6:00pm (USA-EDT)
Registration Deadline: a??Friday, July 9, 12pm (USA-EDT)

ZOOM AUDITIONS
 
Ellison Ballet will hold Zoom audition classes for 2021 entry to the year-round Professional Training Program on the following date: 

AUDITION DATE: Sunday, July 25, 2021   
Ages 12-14:   Sign-In to Zoom: 12:00pm Audition: 12:30-2:30pm (USA-EDT)
Ages 15-19:  Sign-In to Zoom: 2:30pm Audition: 3:00-5:00pm (USA-EDT)

Registration Deadline: a??Friday, July 23, 12pm (USA-EDT)

Audition Photos: Students must upload two photos with their online registration: 1st arabesque and tendu a la seconde.

Zoom Audition Information:

--Zoom audition classes will be taught by Artistic Director Edward Ellison and the full-time Ellison Ballet faculty.
--Students may participate in Ellison Ballet Zoom auditions either in their own homes or in a dance studio. 
--Students who register for their audition prior to the registration deadline will receive their Zoom invitation link approximately 48 hours prior to their audition. Students who register after the deadline will receive their Zoom invitation link approximately 30-90 minutes prior to their audition.
--Students should sign into Zoom 30 minutes prior to the audition start time. Students will be placed in a --waiting room until the audition begins.
--All times listed are USA - Eastern Time.
--Audition registration spaces are first-come, first-served -- register early!

VIDEO AUDITIONS

Students may submit video auditions if they are not able to attend the in-person or Zoom auditions listed above. How to audition by video:

1. Film your video according to the Video Submission Guidelines.
2. Upload your video to a site such as Youtube, Vimeo, DropBox, or Google Drive.
3. Register your audition online and pay audition fee. Be sure to include your online video link with your registration.
