Seeking BIPOC dancers who like to improvise
Seeking BIPOC artists who have fun with movement, are good with improv and can get playful.
I'm casting a gig that will require "dancifying" audience suggestions. Some of the suggestions might be playful (make a dance based on the Netflix show you just binged) and others might be topical (make a dance based on an alternative souce of green energy.)
The show is more a game than it is a strict performance as audience members will be tasked with guessing the source material for your dance.
The event is a collaboration with Confluence Philanthropy (a small non-profit that motivates high net worth individuals to invest in progressive social, racial and climate issues) and Hip Hop Caucus (non-profit which aims to promote political activism for young U.S. voters using hip-hop music and culture.) (Hip hop dancers can get in touch, but this is not a hip dance event. We are not looking for any specific style of dance, more the freedom to move and improvise playfully based on audience suggestions.)
The event is 4-7pm with the dance portion going from 5-6pm. Call time is 4pm (and no need to stick around after the dance portion if you need to jet.)
Location is the Wythe Hotel and will be socially distanced, and on a rooftop open air setting.

Reaching out for this event, but feel free to get in touch even if you can't make this one. There will be events in the future as well.
Thanks!
