Audition for Kinesis Project dance theatre

Kinesis Project dance theatre invites dancers with a history of professional experience to join us for a workshop style audition. We are hiring at least one dancer for the NYC core company, and we are actively looking to grow our community of dancers and collaborators.

Dancers interested in using unusual spaces, exploring performing at extreme distance and discovering small, intimate moments with audience should apply.

Strengths found in Kinesis Project dancers are a grounded sense of movement, openness to collaboration, generous partnering skills and an ability to layer ideas into movement.

Dancers in Kinesis Project have identified as contemporary dancers as well as martial artists, hip hop dancers  and circus performers, or a mix of everything - the common thread styles of movers have been a sense of grounding, generosity, creativity, and full bodied flow and articulation.
